The ProjectTrack template implements a task tracking solution using a template tailored to related team oriented tasks which need to be grouped to reach a common objective. This template builds on the common IssueTrack templage where each individual task must maintain ownership and follow a structured process.
When an task is raised, it is immediately assigned to an individual who assumes ownership until the task is passed to another individual. Throughout this transfer of ownership, the task will follow a change process, where it assumes different progress states until it is solved and closed.
The ProjectTrack template also focuses on a Project Management section which groups a set of fields for project related criteria and linking between related tasks.
The IssueTrack template makes use of the following initial fields to collect details about the task and how it is handled during this change process :
a unique ID to identify a project in the system
a small title or summary of the issue which is used to identify the project with it’s ID
the current owner of this issue.
the project this issue belongs to.
the current progress status of the issue.
each issue can be given a priority value which can be used to group or escalate issues.
a comment given by any user who is modifying the issue.
a list of users who want to be kept informed about all progress of the issue.
The date when work for the task is projected to start.
The date when work actually starts.

The date when work actually finishes.
The amount of time estimated for the task.
The actual time needed for the task.
How close the project is to being completed.
The ID of any parent task for this task. Any parent will show a child table in it’s detail section. There is also a parent grouping option in the profile settings to group children under a parent in the main menu listing.
A list of task ids which reference other related tasks in the system. This field can be useful for exporting relationships using the “Export to MS Project” tool in the Main Menu (requires configuration). You may also wish to create a similar successor field for related behaviour.
a complete history of all changes to each field for the issue.
